Under the Madness Magazine is pleased to announce the winners of its 2023 National Poetry Month competition!
Many thanks to our judge Isabella Ramirez and to the hundreds of amazing teen poets who sent their work to us from around the globe. A short list of the locations of the poets who sent work includes Australia, Bhutan, Canada, China, Columbia, England, Germany, India, Nepal, Nigeria, the Philippines, Serbia, Qatar, Zimbabwe, and from all around the United States.
1st Place: Clarisse Kim, "december 25th"
2nd Place: Seoyon Kim, "Bedtime Stories for Little Curses"
3rd Place: Maithreyi Bharathi, "sari sellers"
The winning poets will be published in an upcoming issue! We'll also be publishing a list of the semi-finalists.
