The Roads of Life

Natalie Myers
Life is like a road,
Wondering which route to take.
Taking the shortcut is the easy way out,
But could lead to bumps along the way.
Every road kill, laid down to meet the fulfillment of life. Roads have  dead ends for some,
But for others they venture on to the unknown.
Never knowing where they’ll roam.
A dead end could stop you in your tracks,
Turning around to find a new route.
Finding different people,
New loved ones,
Loosing loved ones.
Every mile could be the best or worst time for a person. The young fall into the route of love,
Finding the missing piece of their heart.
Following your other along that road can lead to some bumps. For some  it could make them slam on the brakes.
Their other drives off with another.
Leaving them in the dust.
Life is like a road,
Traveling the road of life has speed bumps.
Obstacles around every corner.
Get through those obstacles,
Back track,
Find a new beginning.
Travel the route paved for you.
